A Webinar for Educators: Bringing the Equity Commission to America's Classrooms

In February, the 27-member federal Equity and Excellence Commission released a seminal report that stands as a national call to action for equity and excellence in education for each and every child. The Commission’s five focus areas are: high quality early education, addressing poverty’s effects, fostering engaging teaching and learning, and democratic and effective school governance. In order to address these critical areas, talented educators are needed who will have a personal impact on students. This webinar, organized by the Center for Teaching Quality, will discuss how the Commission’s findings can help support local efforts to promote educational equity and success in classrooms, schools, and communities. Following short presentations from each panel member, attendees are invited to participate in an interactive Q&A session.
